Skylink Family & School Network is a North Carolina based company owned and operated by a former N.C. educator, Andrew Canady.

Andy Canady studied at East Carolina University for his Education Specialist Degree, which he followed up with two graduate level degrees at UNC-Greensboro and Campbell University respectively. Andy has served the education system in every capacity from coach and teacher to Assistant Superintendent of Onslow County Schools.
Andy Canady has worked within the entertainment, educational, business and political communities to bring vast opportunities to students. Some of his credits and accomplishments are:
- Developed a business and educational partnership to provide scholarships for local high school students. As the only one of its type of scholarship in NC, the fund raised more than one million, five hundred thousand dollars and provided over 2,500 scholarships for students.)
- Developed an academic television program that is viewed on all cable networks, also the only one of its type in North Carolina.
- Received the Governor’s Long Leaf Award from Governor Jim Hunt for service to the state.
- Received recognition by Governor Jim Hunt for organizing one of the largest volunteer organizations for having over 3000 volunteers.
- Appointed as Chairman of the State Education Committee by Governor Jim Martin.
- Started a grant writing business for schools, successfully acquiring $8,000,000 for schools across the state.
- Created a partnership with the Carolina Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes through grant funding.
- Worked with legendary Hall Of Fame football player Jim Brown on grant funding.
- Developed a satellite telecast over the United States titled, Chicken Soup For The Classroom with Jack Canfield, co-author of Chicken Soup For The Soul.
Mr. Canady believes that those “in the trenches” are the best resource for developing quality content and so he has recruited a group of highly skilled teachers to develop the material based on the guidelines set forth by the State of North Carolina. The team for the development of the science curriculum is currently being led by Betty Bigney. Ms. Bigney was a member of the USA Today 2000 Teacher Team and a finalist in the Network of Educator Astronaut Teacher’s program.
